Jon Stewart Insults Zach Galifianakis on ‘Between Two Ferns’ TV Preview

The Funny or Die original web series for which Will Ferrel and Adam McKay’s online comedy destination is most famous is getting a 30-minute special on Comedy Central this Sunday, May 6 at 8:30PM Eastern.

Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns is set to air on cable television’s comedy channel immediately following that channel’s broadcast of The Comedy Awards. The very special installment of the faux celebrity interview program is dubbed A Fairy Tale of New York and will feature the kinds of individuals with recognizable names you’re used to seeing sit across from Galifiankis in an an awkward set, bookended with mildly unattractive greenery. Guests include, but may not be limited to Tina Fey, Jon Stewart, and Sir Richard Branson.

In anticipation of the big event, Funny or Die recently released two deleted scenes that got picked up off the floor of the edit room of television and uploaded to the internet.

First, check out Stewart use not terribly kind language to describe how the general populace views Galifianakis. And second, watch Galifiankais try to get Branson to answer a singlequestion. (Pro Tip: You may think you want to pass up the Branson video and just watch Stewart’s, but don’t. The clip makes Branson very likable, as is the case with many celebrities who appear in videos from Funny or Die. Also, both clips are NSFW.)
