'Tease' Trailer Out, Sheds Light On Fox's 15 Gigs

Fox Television Studio’s new digital arm 15 Gigs released the trailer (above) to its steamy looking stripclub dramedy Tease today, giving us just a little hint of what they are up to with their stealthy new web television division.

The original series comes from creators Micah GoldmanMichael Wormser and Peter Marc Jacobson (who created CBS’s The Nanny). In what seems to be a more realistic take on the new-girl-turns-dancer story (compared to Atom’s Hot Sluts), this series shows all that juicy dressing room chatter that we never quite get to hear. Marie (Days of Our Lives’ Lisa Jay) is new to the game but is a fast study to the pros, played by Devin Kelley, Sarah Scherger, Samantha Cope and Crystle Lightning, who are joined in the series lineup by Mark R. Gerson.

Just like the Paris Hilton-Simon Rex pilot that’s been drawing lots of fan comments, it seems the Tease

web series may be just a test bed for TV. Goldman told us that Fox is going to debut the show on Hulu and YouTube as a three episode web series, in the hopes of it finding a home as a traditional television show. The first episode will be released on August 6th, with the two following episodes “rolling out in the weeks after that.”

15 Gigs, who’s name we’ve learned is a play on “15 seconds of fame”, now has six original web series under its belt including The Skinny: Fat-Free News which was announced back in October of last year. Back then, 15 Gigs was just a “think tank” within the studio, later it would develop several other fairly high quality, but lightly-marketed series—When Ninjas Attack, Slacker P.I., The Iceman Chronicles, and Singledom.
