WME signs TikTok star Leo Gonzalez

Leo Gonzalez is adding another chapter to his inspiring story. The TikTok star known for impersonations of newscasters and restaurant workers has signed a 360 representation deal with talent agency WME.

Gonzalez, who reaches 2.7 million TikTok followers, got his start by drawing from his experiences in the TV production business. His first TikTok poked fun at on-air mix-ups, and a recent upload took the perspective of a meteorologist caught in the rain.

Between his newscaster riffs, Gonzalez takes aim at fast-food chains, big-box retailers, and much more. His videos have earned him millions of views and praise from one of his childhood heroes, comedian George Lopez.

TikTok honored Gonzalez by putting him on its first Discover List and naming

him as one of its Latinx Trailblazers for 2021. “My pride for my culture has led me to create content that I am proud of and grateful to be able to create,” Gonzalez said in an interview with TikTok. “I have found healing in humor and know the power that humor has in bringing people together.”

WME will work with Gonzalez as he continues to expand his presence on social media and beyond. Gonzalez delivered a keynote address as a Featured Creator at VidCon 2022. He also hosted red carpet coverage at the world premiere of The Batman.

Fidel Barajas will serve as the lead agent on Gonzalez’s team. In addition to WME, Gonzalez will continue to be represented by his management team at creator commerce company Whalar Talent.
