Patreon Hires Digital Veteran Sarah Penna To Onboard Top Creators

Digital media veteran Sarah Penna has joined creator subscription platform Patreon as senior manager of creator launches.

She will be tasked with spearheading high-profile creator partnerships, reporting to Patreon’s head of creator partnerships, Avi Gandhi. Gandhi joined Patreon from Jimmy Kimmel and Brent Montgomery’s Wheelhouse in August.

Recent signings at Patreon include Larray, Zane and Heath, Chase Hudson, Scotty Sire, and Josh Richards.

Prior to Patreon, Penna founded Frolic Media

, a content destination centered around romance novels and pop culture. Before that, she served as the head of millennial-moms focused digital network and lifestyle brand Awestruck within AwesomenessTV, which reached over 60 million monthly views under her tutelage.

Penna started her 14-year career in digital media as the co-founder of talent management company Big Frame, which was acquired by AwesomenessTV for $15 million in 2014.
