TikTok Throwing Live New Year’s Eve Concert With Charlie Puth, Kali Uchis, Rico Nasty

TikTok is ushering in the New Year with a live concert headlined by Charlie Puth, Kali Uchis, and Rico Nasty.

The star-studded special – which TikTok says exemplifies its status as a driver of music and culture – will air on the flagship @TikTok account from 9 pm ET to 10:15 pm ET on New Year’s Eve. The event will be broadcast live from an apartment-themed staging area, with each of the three floors designed to fit each artist’s set.

The musical performances will be complemented by creator appearances from the likes of averagefashionblogger, scarlet_may.1, tracy.oj, cristiandennis, tyshonlawrence, and 8illy.

This isn’t TikTok’s first New Year’s Eve bash. Last year, the company tapped Brittany Broski and Lil Yachty to preside over festivities in quarantine, looking back on the platform’s best moments of 2020, with performances from Jason Derulo, Saweetie, and Anitta.

This year, TikTok also said it hosted numerous live streams from the likes of Justin Bieber and J Balvin, as well as a series called Headstream that takes viewers inside the minds of their favorite artists. This latter show has featured Demi Lovato and Pink.
