Jellysmack, which harnesses proprietary A.I. technology to help creators expand their presence across multiple platforms — for YouTubers to grow on Facebook and Snapchat, for instance — has added a trio of top Latin American influencers to its stable.
Chilean Beauty creator Claudipia (5.8 million subscribers), Brazilian cooking channel Receitas de Pai (9.1 million subscribers), and Brazilian couple vloggers Thai e Biel (6.2 million subscribers) have joined Jellysmack’s Creator Program. The company will work with the YouTubers to optimize and distribute their content across Facebook. Jellysmack will also work with Receitas de Pai to optimize and distribute his TikTok videos.
The signings arrive on the heels of an investment from SoftBank that valued Jellysmack at upwards of $1 billion
, with the company saying at the time that funds would be used to fuel international expansion. To this end, in July, Jellysmack added 13 international creators to its roster, including Mexican foodie La Cooquette (1.3 million sbuscribers), Brazilian hairstylist Rapha Bartowski (850,000 subscribers), and Indian lifestyle creator Shivshakti Sachdev (402,000 subscribers).
And earlier this month, Jellysmack named former YouTube executive Youri Hazanov as head of international. He will be charged with developing the company’s business in key markets across Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Latin America. Another just-announced hire, Bruno Belardo — who joins Jellysmack from Spotify — has been tapped as country manager for Brazil.
