At its second annual virtual Brandcast event, dubbed Brandcast Delivered, YouTube made a slew of programming announcements, with most revolving around traditional talent like Will Smith, Alicia Keys, and The Migos.

At the same time, on the native creator front, YouTube shared that the third and final season of Liza On Demand will drop later this year. And Barbershop Medicine is a forthcoming special that will explore the impacts of race and socioeconomic status on healthcare and longevity, with a focus on the disproportionate impact of COVID on Black and Brown communities. Barbershop Medicine

grew out of the #YouTubeBlack Voices Fund, a $100 million initiative announced last June to uplift Black creators and artists globally.

Smith, who has previously teamed with YouTube Originals, will embark on a fitness journey in Best Shape Of My Life, produced by his Westbrook Media, while Keys will take viewers into the studio to record her eighth album on Noted (working title), a four-part doc also from Westbrook.

Additionally, the Migos have produced Ice Cold, a docuseries about racial inequity as captured through the lens of hip hop jewelry that will premiere on the rap trio’s YouTube channel this summer, while Recipe For Change (working title) will celebrate Asian and Pacific Islander culture with executive producers including LeBron James, Michelle Kwan, and more.

In addition to the new programming announcements, YouTube reiterated its re-ups of existing hits, Jake Roper’s Could You Survive The Movies, Vox Media StudiosGlad You Asked, a second interactive special from Markiplier, and second seasons of both Instant Influencer (with the hosting baton being passed from James Charles to Zach ‘ZHC’ Hsieh) and hit Brazilian series Whindersson: Próxima Parada.

YouTube’s Brandcast Delivered event was hosted this year by Hasan Minhaj, and featured appearances from Miley Cyrus, Jessica Alba, The Fitness Marshall, The Try Guys, iJustine, and more.
