Longtime digital media executive Allison Stern has joined The Chernin Group as an operating partner.
At the media and tech-focused investment firm, Stern says she’ll be working to advise portfolio companies, explore markets of interest by harnessing a data-driven approach, and source and diligence new investment opportunities.
Prior to joining TCG, Stern co-founded Tubular Labs in 2012, a digital video measurement and analytics platform, and subsequently worked on digital partnerships for the Joe Biden‘s presidential campaign.
TCG launched in 2010 and counts as its co-founders Peter Chernin, Jesse Jacobs, and Mike Kerns. The firm focuses on multi-stage investments in the media and technology spaces, and has invested in the likes of Food52
, Crunchyroll, Exploding Kittens, Rooster Teeth, Fullscreen, Barstool Sports, Cameo, Headspace, and Hello Sunshine.It most recently led a $40 million funding round for Goldin Auctions — an online marketplace for trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other collectibles.
