Come November, it’s not just folks stateside who will see a rollout of Disney’s streaming service Disney+.
Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand will also get Disney+, with the former two getting it Nov. 12 — the same day as the U.S. — and the latter two a week later, Variety reports.
Subscription prices will vary for each market. In the U.S., Disney+ will cost $6.99 per month, or $69.99 per year when paid ahead in full. In Canada, it’ll be $8.99 (Canadian dollars) per month, or $89.99 per year. The Netherlands: €6.99 per month, €69.99. Australia: $8.99 (Australian dollars) per month, $89.99 per year. New Zealand: $9.99 (New Zealand dollars) per month, $99.99 per year.
Disney expects its streaming service to be available in every major market within the next two years.
As for how Disney+ will be distributed, the Mouse House also announced it’s signed global agreements with Google, Apple, Microsoft, Roku, and Sony to make the Disney+ app available on numerous mobile and connected devices, per Variety.
Devices included in the deal are: all Android phones, connected TV devices, Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices; all iPhones and iPads, iPod Touch, and Apple TV; Xbox One; PlayStation 4 and all Sony-made Android-based TVs; and Roku streaming devices and TVs.
Consumers with these devices will be able to subscribe to Disney+ directly on their devices through in-app purchases.
Also worth noting: earlier this month, Disney revealed that (in the U.S., at least, for now) it’s planning to offer a bundle subscription deal with Disney+ and two of its other subsidiary streaming services, ESPN+ and Hulu.
