Gabby Douglas, Dashawn Jordan, Giannis Antetokounmpo To Attend VidCon As Part Of First Nike Sponsorship

Leading athletics brand Nike is sponsoring an activation at Viacom-owned VidCon for the first time next month.

Nike will host the so-called Nike Sport Court — a designated space at the convention that will welcome A-list content creators and athletes, including Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, skateboarder Dashawn Jordan (pictured above), and NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. The activation will also see Nike coaches, elite athletes, and digital stars leading activities, games, and drills for different sports, including skateboarding (Thursday), soccer (Friday), and basketball (Saturday).

Attendees will be able to team with their athletic heroes and favorite creators on the above. Jordan will be joined by Guava Juice

and Sam & Colby, for instance, while the basketball session on Saturday — led by Antetokounmpo — will also feature participation from Dang Matt Smith and David Dobrik. Finally, on Saturday afternoon, digital creators will compete in a celebrity basketball match.

Nike’s VidCon sponsorship will serve to kick off a summer-long campaign dubbed ‘Sport Changes Everything‘ that will serve to encourage kids to play and engage in physical activity.
