YouTube Millionaires: King Kenny TV’s “Crazy Relationship” With His Brother Attracts Fans

Welcome to YouTube Millionaires, where we profile channels that have recently crossed the one million subscriber mark. There are channels crossing this threshold every week, and each has a story to tell about YouTube success. Read previous installments of YouTube Millionaires here.

All hail KingKennyTV. That channel, run by a fun-loving Brit, has gathered a seven-digit audience on YouTube, thanks in large part to its host’s relationship with his brother. In his videos, Kenny often hangs out with his little bro, who is also the target of many of his pranks. While it is his fraternal content for which he is most known, Kenny also offers challenge videos and original music among a regular supply of clips. Here’s our conversation with him:

Tubefilter: How does it feel to have more than one million subscribers on your channel? What do you have to say to your fans?

KingKennyTV: Honestly it still feels so surreal. I felt like it was a dream at only 100,000 subscribers and now I’ve crossed one million. It shows anything is possible if you work hard and focus. Of course without the fans I wouldn’t be here so to the King fam I’d like to say thank you so much for the support, it means a lot.

TF: Your viewership has grown significantly over the past year. Why do you think that is?

KK: Honestly my little brother. I think showing the crazy relationship me and my brother have allowed people to relate to the brotherly relationship they have or wish they had.

TF: What do you think are the elements of a good prank?

KK: Something you wouldn’t expect that’s fun to laugh off and doesn’t cause any harm to the person because they take it as a joke.

TF: How does your little brother feel about his appearances on your channel?

KK: He loves it! Gets a lot of attention in school, sometimes he even gives me some challenge ideas for a video that I could do.

TF: If you could change any one thing about YouTube, what would you choose?

KK: The support. It is so hard for us creators to get a direct contact with YouTube if something is wrong, something needs fixing, or we need anything in general.

TF: On a similar note, what’s one YouTube-related trend you’d like to see go away?

KK: Honestly don’t know. I’ve found most of them fun, haha.

TF: What is your strategy for your music career?

KK: That’s a secret, lol.

TF: Where do you see yourself in five years?

KK: Hopefully with hard work over 10 million subscribers or more. I’d like to go into acting as well as music. Lay your eggs in different baskets!

TF: What’s next for your channel? Any fun plans?

KK: I’m going to try and change things up by getting more characters on my channel instead of just me and my bro.
