Twitch Revamps Channel Analytics Dashboard As Part Of Yearlong Effort

Twitch, which is experiencing something of a moment right now in light of Fortnite’s ascent, is looking to arm creators with new analytics.

The platform unveiled today an all-new Channel Analytics page, which synthesizes previously available Revenue and Stats tabs into a reformatted dashboard. In a blog post, Twitch said that the combined stats aim to help creators better track growth. Revenue and subscription information is displayed at the top of the new dashboard, followed by stats about top streams and clips. For the first time, creators will also be able to set custom start and end dates to track analytics over a specified time period.

Twitch said that the update is part of a yearlong effort to make analytics more useful, and forthcoming updates will reportedly show users other channels and games that their viewers are interested in. “With that information,” writes marketing communications manager Evan Freitas, “you’ll be better equipped to decide when to stream, what to stream, or who to collaborate with.”

Twitch is currently soliciting feedback for future updates, and will make the former Revenue and Stats tabs available while it gathers feedback about the just-announced rollout.
