As the skinny bundle wars heat up, Hulu has just announced an uber-enticing offer.
Ahead of the second season premiere of the sci-fi smash Westworld, Hulu will let subscribers add HBO to their plans for just $4.99. The offer will apply to subscribers of Hulu’s live TV platform, as well as to its regular subscription service, which provides on-demand content with either limited or no ads, according to Variety. This is a steep cut given that an HBO add-on is typically priced at $14.99 per month, and the offer will only be available for six months.
Hulu first began offering HBO — as well as Cinemax
, which is owned by HBO — as add-ons ahead of the premiere of Game Of Thrones’ seventh season last July.On Wednesday, Hulu also announced a deal with Spotify that comprises a combined subscription for $12.99 — giving access to the Spotify Premium offering as well as Hulu’s Limited Commercials tier. That said, the HBO offer won’t be available to subscribers who have purchased this bundle, Variety reports, meaning that users have to choose one discount or the other.
