Howie Mandel has decided to make a deal with an upstart digital media brand. The man best known for his roles on shows like Deal or No Deal and America’s Got Talent will produce a project alongside Doing Things, which is known for its network of popular Instagram accounts.
Each Doing Things account curates user-generated clips based around a specific themes. The brand’s most popular hub is Drunk People Doing Things, a catalog of the stupid decisions made by intoxicated individuals. That collection of stunts, bloopers, and other clips has more than two million followers. Other Doing Things channels feature tried-and-true viral video subjects like animals and elders.
The partnership with Mandel will include multiple digital shows that will be centered around content from the Doing Things library. A video introducing it can be found on the Drunk People Doing Things page:
Doing Things was founded by Reid Hailey and Derek Lucas. Max Benator serves as the brand’s manager and producing partner. The first co-production with Mandel is expected to arrive in 2018.
