YouTube Millionaires: The Dobre Brothers Use Vlogs To “Turn Imagination Into Reality”

Welcome to YouTube Millionaires, where we profile channels that have recently crossed the one million subscriber mark. There are channels crossing this threshold every week, and each has a story to tell about YouTube success. Read previous installments of YouTube Millionaires here.

On YouTube, a little brotherly love can go a long way. The four creators collectively known as The Dobre Brothers have attracted viewers by posting easygoing vlogs that feature pranks, music, gymnastic, and whatever other bits the foursome features. Between twins Lucas and Marcus, who have their own YouTube channel, and older siblings Cyrus and Darius, the Dobres present personalities that complement one another. Here are their thoughts on reaching one million subscribers on their shared channel:

Tubefilter: How does it feel to have more than one million YouTube subscribers? What do you have to say to your fans?

Cyrus Dobre: We feel blessed, grateful, and we thank the fans for all of their loyalty, love, and support. The subscriber count reminds us why we do what we do and motivates us to continue doing what we love most, putting smiles on on fans’ faces! We couldn’t have done this without our fans.

TF: Your channel has grown rather quickly. Why do you think that is?

Lucas Dobre: We think it is because we are unique and family friendly. We do things in our vlogs that people imagine and our positive vibes are priceless. We also promote our videos rigorously and there are four of us promoting. In addition, both the Lucas and Marcus channel and Dobre Brothers channel build off each other.

TF: With so many vlogging channels on YouTube, what would you say makes yours unique?

Darius Dobre: In addition to being so positive and friendly, we are very random. We not only vlog, but entertain with our comedy, gymnastics, and variety of ideas that turn imagination into reality. We incorporate dares, animals, pranks, and talent in our vlogs to keep it fun.

TF: What steps do you take to make sure that all four brothers have strong presences on the channel?

Marcus Dobre: We all take turns to narrate, show our unique personalities, and unique talents when it comes to dancing, gymnastics, and comedy. We all reflect our own strengths in each mission to be accomplished.

TF: Would you say your on-camera personalities accurately reflect what you are like off camera?

DD: Yes. We continue to be ourselves even off camera. When we are together we are our happiest.

TF: What do you think is the most epic prank any of you have ever pulled?

CD: Sticky notes on the GTR. It was a prank that took time and precision and was never expected. It was time the twins experienced being the prankees rather than the pranksters.

TF: How do you deal with the physical strain that gymnastics puts on your body?

LD: We do the tricks only when needed in order to keep our bodies intact. We also do our best to maintain a healthy diet and warm up before doing gymnastics.

TF: Now that you’ve started posting music videos on your channel, do you have plans to put together a full album?

CD: We are in the process of releasing another song and have the goal of being signed with a record label. We would love to to put together a full album and are on track to doing that.

TF: What’s next for your channel? Any fun plans?

DD: In addition to continuing our crazy ideas, we do want to release more music videos on the Dobre Brothers channel.
