DigiTour Founder To Release How-To Book For Aspiring Social Media Stars

Meridith Valiando Rojas, the co-founder and CEO of touring and social media festival production company DigiTour Media, is set to release a book next year to help aspiring creators pave a path to stardom.

The how-to guide, titled Selfie Made: The Ultimate Guide To Social Media Stardom, will teach kids how to become digital entrepreneurs. It will be published by Wednesday Books — an imprint of St. Martin’s Press — next spring, and will also include the story of how Rojas started DigiTour, as well as Q&As and advice from some of the biggest names in social media.

“When you ask Gen Z what they want to be when they grow up, the number one response is a social media star,” Rojas said in a statement, “which is why I’m so excited to be able to share the secrets to my success with all of the young, aspiring entrepreneurs out there.”

DigiTour Media, founded in 2010, has produced roughly 500 concerts (DigiTours) and live festivals (DigiFests) across the globe featuring Musical.ly, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube stars — as well as musical acts that resonate among Gen Z audiences. Recent outings have featured Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight, Jacob Sartorius, ‘Baby’ Ariel Martin, and Zach Clayton.

In 2017, Rojas, who is a former A&R executive, partnered with her husband, Chris Rojas — a multi-platinum music producer — to form a digital-first record label called RMI alongside Disney. Rojas was also tapped to serve as an advisor and cover star for a new Bauer Media magazine dubbed Teen Boss in June.
