YouTube Revamps Analytics Reports To Help Creators Better Understand Subscription Traffic

YouTube has updated its Analytics reports to give creators a better sense of fluctuations and patterns with respect to subscribers on their channels, the video giant announced today.

Some highlights, a rep wrote in the site’s product forum, include a new ‘YouTube Watch Page’ category within ‘Subscribers reports‘ that will detail how many subscribers came from a specific video on a user’s channel, as well as the addition of a category called ‘Subscriptions Feed’, which will detail how the subs feed has impacted subscribes and unsubscribes. Additionally, YouTube creators will now be able to see how many subscribers arrived on their channels via cards and end screens thanks to a new category within their reports called ‘Interactive Features’.

The updates, available now by clicking ‘Sources’ within your Subscribers report, will only take into account data from Sept. 18, per YouTube, so it’ll still take some time to get a fuller grasp on how these more granular features have impacted subscriber traffic.

In addition to the above sources, users’ revamped reports will also break down how subscriptions are impacted by: the YouTube homepage, the ‘Subscribe’ button on channel homepages, YouTube search results, YouTube ads, videos embedded on websites outside of YouTube, and how closed accounts have reduced overall subscribers.
