Former ‘Late Late Show’ Host Craig Ferguson To Lead Branded Web Series For Clothing Retailer Gant

Craig Ferguson and his wife Megan are blending sharp dress with sharp conversations. The Fergusons will be the co-hosts of Couple Thinkers, a talk show branded by Swedish clothing retailer Gant and dedicated to the discussion of weighty ideas.

In each episode of Couple Thinkers, the Fergusons will sit down with a guest and engage in a chat that will be “genuinely intended to spark curiosity, learning, and conversation,” according to a press release. That approach plays to Craig’s strengths; during his nine-year stint as the host of CBS’ Late Late Show, the Scotsman became known for the deep, meaningful discussions he had with visitors. Here, his and Megan’s conversation partners will include Arianna Huffington and Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

Gant hasn’t explained how exactly it will integrate its brand into Couple Thinkers, but Craig Ferguson has long

given off a “distinguished older gentleman” vibe, so he could be a good model for the company’s attire. “We want to do content that people think is interesting, instead of a commercial that is interrupting what is interesting,” Gant global marketing officer Eleonore Säll told Variety. “We think our audience will thank us.”

A trailer for Couple Thinkers offers a preview of some of the big questions Craig and Megan plan to ask:

Couple Thinkers will live, among other destinations, on Gant’s YouTube channel, which has been active for more than eight years. Over that time, its stylish videos have pulled in about 1.4 million views. The Fergusons’ contribution to Gant’s library will consist of six episodes and will premiere on October 9.
