Famed vlogger Connor Franta is once again launching a fundraising campaign to celebrate his birthday.
Franta, who turns 25 today, has released a capsule clothing collection with proceeds benefitting the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) — which works to ensure equality in schools with respect to sexual orientation and gender identity. The line, vended via Franta’s Common Culture lifestyle brand and available through the end of the week, will comprise a sweatshirt ($50), a T-shirt ($30), and a baseball cap ($25) — each imbued with a rainbow-colored heart.
This isn’t the first time that Franta, who counts 5.7 million subscribers on YouTube, has partnered with GLSEN. In addition to serving as an honorory co-chair of the organization, last year he was honored at GLSEN’s Respect Awards for his advocacy work on behalf of LGBTQ youth. Franta also vended a Common Culture collection in collaboration with Urban Outfitters that raised funds for the nonprofit, and hosted a similar charity campaign for his birthday last year. During past birthdays, Franta has collaborated with The Thirst Project.
“Last year, we raised so much awareness and so much money for GLSEN, and I’m just so thankful for that,” he said. “I couldn’t do what I do and they couldn’t do what they do without your support — so thank you.”
