Ex-Big Frame Manager To Lead Digital Talent At Authentic With Clients Like Jenn McAllister

Across 13 years, Authentic has built up a broad roster of clients across the film, TV, theater, and literary industries. Now, with its latest hire, the talent management company is increasing the scope of its digital media operation as well. Rana Zand, a former Big Frame employee who works with online video stars like Jenn McAllister, has joined Authentic as its Head of Digital Talent.

Zand will bring her clients along with her as part of her move to Authentic. McAllister, a 20-year-old influencer with several major projects under her belt, is the most recognizable name on Zand’s roster, but the experienced manager also works with creators like the Vagabrothers and Orion Carloto.

As digital creators become increasingly eager to expand their careers across the Internet and beyond, and as advertisers in turn show interest in reaching those creators’ audiences, the number of talent agencies and management firms serving the online video industry has increased. Major Hollywood operations like UTA

WME (where Zand has worked in the past), CAA, and the Abrams Artists Agency have all signed dozens of digital-native creators.

On the management side of things, Zand is not the first person to make a high-profile move away from Big Frame. Another manager who fits those criteria is Colette Patnaude, a former Big Framer who co-founded Expand Entertainment. Patnaude, like Zand, brought clients with her (like Meg DeAngelis, Jill Cimorelli, and Remi Cruz) when she moved from Big Frame to her new gig.

Now that she has arrived at Authentic’s New York office, Zand has wasted no time getting down to business. Her latest signing is Amani Al-Khatahtbeh, founder and editor-in-chief of the website MuslimGirl.com.
