YouTube Millionaires: AmyLee33 Uses Her Channel To Promote “Love, Peace, And Kindness”

Welcome to YouTube Millionaires, where we profile channels that have recently crossed the one million subscriber mark. There are channels crossing this threshold every week, and each has a story to tell about YouTube success. Read previous installments of YouTube Millionaires here.

Many of YouTube’s gaming channels tend to be aggressive or abrasive, but Amy Lee‘s is not one of them. Lee’s AmyLee33 hub is home to her cheerful, positive Let’s Play videos, the most popular of which take place in the worlds of Minecraft, The Sims, and Roblox. Lee’s family-friendly tone has attracted a wide audience, and has led to off-YouTube opportunities such as book deals. She celebrated one million subscribers as many others do: With a “Draw My Life” video.

Tubefilter: How does it feel to have one million subscribers? What do you have to say to your fans?

AmyLee33: It feels incredible! Thank you all so much for supporting my channel!

TF: What drew you to Minecraft in the first place?

AL: My niece made me download the game, I soon became addicted myself!

TF: With so much Minecraft-related content on YouTube, what would you say makes your channel distinct?

AL: I use my channel to promote love, peace and kindness towards the planet and to animals.

TF: Is it ever a challenge to keep your channel family-friendly, and why is that quality important to you?

AL: It’s not a challenge to remain family-friendly, however I also think it is important not to convey that the world, and adults, are perfect. We all have flaws and don’t live in a fairy tale!

TF: What is your favorite part of the Minecraft community on YouTube?

AL: The viewers are very dedicated fans that regularly give tips, advice, and suggestions. I love that if I am stuck, I can ask the viewers for help. The Minecraft community is like a family.

TF: Given how frequently you upload new videos, do you ever struggle to keep up with the breakneck pace a YouTube career demands?

AL: I record a lot in advance, I am usually around 3 weeks ahead which gives me a chance to travel and to concentrate on other projects.

TF: How did your book deals come to be, and why are you particularly interested in authoring literature?

AL: I have always been very passionate about reading and writing, and it is something I have always dreamed of doing. Losing yourself in the pages of a book is wonderful and something I would love for children not to forget in this digital age.

TF: How do you decide which games to play on your channel? Are there any you’ve wanted to play but decided weren’t right for your viewers?

AL: I will always play games that I enjoy. Every video I upload is from a game that I genuinely enjoyed. I wouldn’t upload anything that was just a ‘trend.’

TF: What’s next for your channel? Any fun plans?

AL: Lots of plans! But all secrets for now!
