AT&T Launches Exclusive ‘Taylor Swift Now’ VOD Channel As Part Of Multi-Year Deal

In honor of her birthday, Taylor Swift has today launched a VOD channel called Taylor Swift Now, which is dedicated exclusively to new and never-before-seen content from one of the brightest stars in music.

Swift collaborated with AT&T on the channel, which is available exclusively via DirecTV Now, an online streaming TV service, as well as on DirecTV (on channel 1113) and via U-verse (channel 1501). Taylor Swift Now will also be available on each of the aforementioned platforms’ respective apps, where select AT&T customers will be able to stream the content data-free.

Taylor Swift Now is organized into 13 different chapters hand-curated by Swift — comprising videos, concert performances, behind-the-scenes footage, and more — with additional content being added “regularly,” according to a release. She will share nostalgic stories about people who have supported her career, as well as moments in which she has surprised her fans by sending them gifts or turning up in person. As part of her partnership with AT&T (which acquired DirecTV for roughly $50 billion last year), Swift will also headline a concert on the night before the Super Bowl in Houston — portions of which will air on the Taylor Swift Now platform at a later date.

“This is exactly what we had in mind when we launched DirecTV Now — a video destination that’s TV your way,” said Brad Bentley, EVP of the AT&T Entertainment Group, of the new venture. The telecommunications giant announced a multi-year, multi-faceted deal with the entertainer back in October, with additional projects to be laid out in coming months.
