Dance Creator Chachi Gonzales Launches Eponymous App Alongside Victorious

Dance star-turned-digital influencer Chachi Gonzales — née Olivia Irene Gonzales — is the latest creator to launch her own app in conjunction with Victorious, a mobile platform that powers superfan communities for the likes of One Direction fan-fiction empress Anna Todd, Vine star Lele Pons, YouTube creator Lilly ‘Superwoman’ Singh, and more.

Gonzales, who parlayed her America’s Best Dance Crew win into a full-fledged career as dancer, actress, and fashionista, has launched an eponymous app that will enable her to interact with fans via live shows, contests, a lifestyle blog, merch sales, giveaways, and more. The app is available right now in both the iTunes and Google Play stores.

Special features include Muévelo (which means ‘Move It’), a dance tutorial series with new episodes dropping every week; a chat thread for fans to connect with one another; and a lifestyle blog updated daily by Gonzales, her sister Dominique, and their dog Lexi.

In addition to her popular dance videos, which have helped her amass more than 1.1 million subscribers on YouTube, 1.9 million Facebook fans, and 1.1 million Instagram followers, Gonzales has also appeared in several bold-faced scripted digital series like Hulu’s Freakish and East Los High, as well as Guidance on Verizon’s Go90 mobile platform. Gonzales is also the star of her own two-season Go90 docu-series Chachi’s World, and she’s set to hit the road as host of Fullscreen’s Drop The Mic tour, in which various YouTube stars will participate in a series of lip-sync battles.

“It feels like I’ve always had a thousand things going on at once,” said Gonzales said in a statement. “Now, I finally have a place that can be a one-stop-shop for everything I need.”

Founded in 2013, Victorious raised $25 million in a funding round last May led by Dentsu Ventures and Marker, bringing total funds raised by the company to roughly $50 million.
