Abrams Agency Signs YouTube Stars Furious Pete, Meghan McCarthy

A talent agency has deepened its lineup within the digital media field. The Abrams Artists Agency has announced five signings, including competitive eater Furious Pete and digital-native comedienne Meghan McCarthy.

All five of Abrams’ new signees have their own established presences across the social web. Furious Pete is best-known for his YouTube channel, where his fitness and eating videos have attracted more than 3.6 million subscribers and opened up exciting opportunities for him. Recently, he appeared alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in Halloween-themed video. McCarthy first gained fame on Vine, though she has since diversified her career beyond the soon-to-be-bygone platform. Her YouTube channel, where her unusual voice is the main attraction, now has more than 1.6 million subscribers.

Beyond Furious Pete and McCarthy, Abrams also signed Jon Rettinger, whose TechnoBuffalo channel has more than 1.3 million subscribers on YouTube; Dolvett Quince, a trainer from The Biggest Loser who is active on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter; and gymnast Shawn Johnson, who has parlayed her Olympic gold medal into 1.3 million followers on Instagram.

Abrams Agency has offices in both New York and Los Angeles and works with a host of clients within the digital media world. In two waves of signings last year, it added notable creators like Brittani Louise Taylor, Jessie Paege, and Ann Reardon to its roster.
