The newest series on Go90 brings viewers to the icy north. Cold, created by filmmaker Emily Diana Ruth and produced by New Form Digital, can now be accessed through Verizon’s mobile-first video app.
Cold stars Annalise Basso as Isla, a 16-year-old who returns to her frigid hometown in hopes of uncovering the truth about her father’s murder of her mother. By the end of the first episode, which can be watched on the New Form YouTube channel, Isla has been abandoned in the snowy woods, where she must fight for survival.
New Form first launched Cold as one of ten short films during its 2015 “Incubator Series.” Later that year, the digital studio co-founded by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Discovery Communications announced that Ruth’s project would be one of six developed into full series for Go90
. Of that sextet, Cold is the last show to see release.“We couldn’t be more proud to bring Emily’s vision to life with this stellar cast from some of television’s best dramas,” said New Form SVP of development and production Melissa Schneider in a statement shared two weeks before the launch of Cold. “We are excited about what this team was able to create and can’t wait to share with audiences on go90 — it will be sure to keep them on the edge of their seats.”
While the Cold premiere can be watched on YouTube, the other nine installments of the series will be available exclusively through Go90. The first two episodes are currently available, and the rest will be released one-per-week over the next eight Thursdays.
