BuzzFeed Motion Pictures has teamed with Keshet Studios to create a new version of the Israeli game show Touch, which is slated to air digitally and on TV.
Touch, originally developed by the Israeli writer and actor Ido Rosenblum and Keshet, is based around the question ‘What is wrong with this picture?,’ according to a release, and the new version will connect both TV and online viewers, who must identify what is wrong with an image and touch the screen as a clock counts down. The game will highlight BuzzFeed’s brand, content, and talent, the company said
“We’re thrilled to being working with Keshet to develop Touch into a cross-platform, global show,” Matthew Henick, BuzzFeed Motion Pictures’ head of development, said in a statement. “Leveraging our audience-focused development process and our global promotional engine will make this a huge phenomenon.” Added Keshset International’s SVP of digital and acquisitions Sebastian Burkhardt
: “Together, we will create content that engages viewers of all ages and on all platforms as the speed of linear and digital convergence accelerates.”BuzzFeed will collaborate with Keshset’s digital divisions and Keshet Studios — its Los Angeles-based non-scripted TV division — to jointly develop and produce Touch. Keshet International, its global distribution and production arm, will roll the show out internationally.
BuzzFeed Motion Pictures is the video arm of the global media giant that says it has 7 billion monthly video views, while Tel Aviv-based Keshet is behind titles like Prisoners Of War — the original Israeli version of the Emmy-winning Homeland series.
