Here’s A Teaser For The ‘Young Turks On Fusion’ TV Show, Launching September 12th

The Young Turks’ return to your television screen is right around the corner. The progressive-leaning news and commentary organization will premiere its new TV show, The Young Turks On Fusion, at 8 PM ET on September 12th.

In the show, hosts Ana Kasparian and John Iadarola will stop by college campuses around the country to talk politics, gather input from guests, and discuss topics that matter to college students. The 12-episode trip will begin on the 12th at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in Los Angeles and will cross the nation several times before ending up at the University of Arizona on November 21st, a couple weeks after the 2016 presidential election.

Beyond the discussion panels that will make up its bread-and-butter, The Young Turks On Fusion will also include man-on-the-street interviewers and game show-style segments. While the show will hit on a wide variety of issues, Kasparian and Iadarola discussed a few topics they plan to cover — including Black Lives Matter, the corruption of the DNC, and the American housing market — in a preview posted by Fusion on YouTube.

“The Young Turks has always created a community for young people to engage with and discuss important news,” said TYT Network Chief Business Officer Steve Oh in a press release. “Partnering with Fusion on this show allows us to speak directly to millennials and hit the road to hear straight from them on the issues they care about most. We’re excited to partner with Fusion to bring our show in front of a live audience and to add linear TV to the many ways we are reaching our digitally-native, politically-minded viewers.”

The new show marks The Young Turks’ first TV series since the discontinuation of The Young Turks with Cenk Uygur. The media company remains very active online, where it has more than three million subscribers on its primary YouTube channel.
