Fullscreen’s ‘Girls Night In’ Stars Share Their Screens Using New Live.me Feature

Five women with big followings on the Internet are currently on the road, and one of their tour’s presenting sponsors has provided them with a fun new element they can add to their shows. Live.me, a mobile-first streaming video service, has announced a number of updates, including the launch of a screen-sharing feature called Beam that is being put to use during Fullscreen’s Girls Night In tour.

Beam is designed in order to allow Live.me’s most popular users to share their streams with fans who would otherwise not be able to meaningfully interact with their favorite broadcasters. The feature becomes available to those who have entered Live.me’s upper echelon, either by being starred or verified, or by reaching level 15 in the app’s gamified social structure.

Once a user unlocks Beam, he or she can activate it a single tap. From there, viewers can volunteer to be looped into to the stream, and the active broadcaster can invite them in one at a time. A Live.me employee demonstrated the new feature in a short video:

Beam brings Live.me’s power-users together with their closest followers, and Girls Night In is therefore the perfect place to show it off. The tour’s hosts — Niki and Gabi, Alisha Marie, Jessie Paege, and Alyson Stoner — are using Beam to share their stage time with their fans. “It’s been so fun connecting with fans on Live.me and giving them a sneak peek during the adventures of Girls Night In,” said Marie in a press release. “Talking to fans live has been really fun on the road!”

Girls Night In follows a 2015 tour of the same name, which featured four other Fullscreen partners in their own girl-power adventure. The 2016 iteration of the tour began August 11th in Phoenix and will hit 24 cities before concluding in New York on September 18th.
