Comedy Central Unveils New Digital Hub Filled With ‘Key And Peele’ Sketches

Key and Peele has completed its five-season run, but thanks to a new website, the series’ sketches will live on. Comedy Central has opened up a new digital hub for Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele’s program, and it includes every single sketch the duo produced for their show.

The new Key and Peele hub offers all of the sketches previously available on the Comedy Central YouTube channel, as well as all of the other segment from the TV show that never made it online. As a introductory message on the new website states, “if they made it, it’s here.” Personally, I’m happy to see that “Inner City Wizard School” has finally been added to Key and Peele’s digital collection.

Beyond the more-than-300 sketches produced by Key and Peele for their show, the new website also includes keywords that group together similar segments, a pronunciation guide, and a dictionary that defines all of the neologisms Key and Peele coined across its 53 episodes.

During its TV run, Key and Peele was hugely popular on YouTube; as Comedy Central noted, videos from the sketch show have received more than a billion views online. Its digital popularity was so great that its stars began to appear in pre-video segments in which they implored viewers to watch their show on TV as well.

Now that Key and Peele has ended, there’s no more TV show for viewers to be directed to, so it makes sense for Comedy Central to extend the program’s lifespan online, as it has done with some of its other big hits. More than a decade after Chappelle’s Show aired its final episode, for example, its sketches continue to roll up big view counts online. Don’t be surprised if Key and Peele experiences an equally rich post-TV renaissance.
