TV Shows Starring Ed Bassmaster, Dude Perfect To Premiere On CMT On April 14th

Thursday is shaping up as Country Music Television’s YouTube night. At 9 PM EST / 8PM CST on April 14, CMT will premiere the first episode of The Dude Perfect Show, which will be led by the titular group of trick shot experts. Immediately following that episode will be the premiere of The Ed Bassmaster Show, which will feature the socially-awkward characters of the titular YouTube star.

The Ed Bassmaster Show, which was first revealed in January 2016, follows its star prankster as he pushes ordinary citizens to their limits. Bassmaster’s public antics are fueled by his array of characters, whose idiosyncratic qualities are often embellished through elaborate costumes and accents. This formula has led him to more than two million subscribers and over half-a-billion views on YouTube. A month ahead of the show’s premiere, Bassmaster posted a trailer for it on his YouTube channel.

The other half of CMT’s YouTube block belongs to Dude Perfect, whose elaborate basketball stunts and comedy sketches have led them to 8.9 million subscribers and more than 1.4 billion views on their primary YouTube channel. The Dude Perfect Show will feature plenty of the trick shots for which the Texan quintet is famous, but it will also showcase a wide range of stunts, challenges, and, perhaps unexpectedly, cute puppies. Celebrities and famous athletes, such as Chris Paul and Aaron Rodgers, will guest star.

The Ed Bassmaster Show is produced by DiGa, the studio led by a pair of former MTV execs. The Dude Perfect Show is produced by Rob Dyrdek’s Superjacket Productions.
