YouTube Musician Megan Nicole Will Lend Her Voice To Popular Netflix Series

Yet another YouTube starlet has been scooped up by Netflix.

Following in the footsteps of Miranda Sings and her forthcoming scripted series for the streaming giant entitled Haters Back Off, YouTube musician Megan Nicole has signed on to lend her voice to Netflix’s popular Popples cartoon series.

Nicole (née Flores) will debut a new song during the show entitled Together With My Friends, and also voice a recurring character named Squeaky Pop, Billboard reports. Popples’ second season kicks off on March 11, while the song will be available for download on March 4 alongside a behind-the-scenes video showcasing Nicole’s involvement.

“It was such a blast to work on my very first animated series and it’s a bonus that I get to be a part of a show that shares positive messages to young viewers,” the 22-year-old told Billboard

.

Nicole has amassed 3.5 million subscribers on YouTube and 700 million views thanks to her catchy covers. In 2014, she released the first single from her debut album, Escape. She has also tried her hand at acting in a VOD feature film in 2014 entitled Summer Forever.

Nicole will release her next single, Mascara, on March 11 — the same day as the Popples premiere.
