Collective Digital Studio Will Be Rebranded As Part Of Studio71

One of the online video industry’s most prominent networks is taking on a new name. Collective Digital Studio, which is partnered with major digital stars like Lilly Singh, Epic Meal Time, and Rhett and Link, will be rebranded as part of German multi-channel network Studio71.

Collective DS and Studio71 are already linked thanks to their shared parent company, ProSiebenSat.1 Group. The German media conglomerate acquired a 20% stake in Collective DS in 2014 before taking control of it a year later. In July 2015, a combined network called Collective Studio71 was formed, and the new rebranding effort simplifies that merger by collecting (no pun intended) the two networks under one name.

Studio71’s founding partners will retain control of all activities in Europe, while Collective DS founders Michael Green and Reza Izad will oversee the company’s North American presence. “Our stellar growth in 2015 is due in no small part to ProSiebenSat.1, which is one of the world’s most forward-thinking media corporations,” said Green in a press release. “We are poised for even greater growth in 2016. Our continued focus on the world’s best talent, production of premium content and partnership with leading brands is contributing to a powerhouse slate of intellectual property, which we will be producing and distributing over multiple platforms around the world.”

Upcoming projects that will be produced by the newly-united Studio71 network include a movie called Natural Born Pranksters and a James Patterson adaptation called Maximum Ride. With the audiences of both networks taken into account, Studio71 now generates 3.5 billion views per month.
