Viral Video Songsters “The Holderness Family” Come To TV Via UP

Forget the Kardashians; we’re keeping up with the Holderness Family. The four-person unit best known for its very silly cover songs now has its own reality TV show thanks to Makin’ It on the UP channel.

Makin’ It follows the four members of the Holderness clan–father Penn, mother Kim, daughter Lola, and son Penn Charles–as they make videos for release on YouTube. The quartet’s best known hit is “#XMAS JAMMIES,” a Yuletide version of Will Smith’s “Miami” that has received more than 15 million views to date. A year later, they followed it up with “All About That Baste,” a Thanksgiving-themed Meghan Trainor parody that has added 4.6 million more views to their total.

Makin’ It will add more viral videos to the Holderness Family’s library. The debut episode, which aired on March 26th, brought us “#MommyDaddyTime,” a song that will almost certainly provide great embarrassment to the Holderness children once they are old enough to understand what it implies.
