Ryan Seacrest, Kurt Hugo Schneider Music Video Joins Coke’s #MakeItHappy Campaign

Coca-Cola is spreading its #MakeItHappy campaign across multiple platforms. The latest creator joining in on the quest to make the Internet a more positive place is Ryan Seacrest, who teamed up with Kurt Hugo Schneider and a combination traditional and new media performers for a music video called “Come On #MakeItHappy“.

The three-and-a-half minute video provides an upbeat cover of “Come On Get Happy,” the theme song from The Partridge Family. It is directed by Schneider, who has more than five million subscribers on YouTube, and hosted on Seacrest’s YouTube channel. There’s plenty of talent in front of the camera, too. Traditional media stars Jordin Sparks, Janel Parrish, Victoria Justice, Bea Miller, and Nolan Gould appear, as do online content creators Jack & Jack, Andrea Russett, Brent Rivera, Sam Tsui and Chris Collins. Schneider and Seacrest lead this group through a funky rendition that spreads the titular campaign’s positive message.

The video arrived just after the Super Bowl, where Coke also ran an ad supporting #MakeItHappy (it was the one with Success Kid in it.) Since launching its latest campaign a week ago, the beverage brand has collaborated with a number of content creators, including Hannah Hart and Kid President.

Schneider, who is no stranger to branded videos, has worked with Coke before. In 2013, he played an entire song on Coke bottles as part of the ‘Ahh’ campaign, though that video has since been made private. His new video is a lot more straightforward than that one was, but it still has plenty of style and a message that appeals to anyone who has ever been bullied online.
