Netflix Celebrates “First Day Of Camp” With “Wet Hot American Summer” Teaser

Camp Firewood is about to get back in session, and Netflix wants to make sure everyone hears the news. The online video site has released the first teaser trailer for Wet Hot American Summer, the eight-episode sequel series to the 2001 film of the same name.

Wet Hot American Summer has become a cult favorite since its release, and Netflix recently teamed up with the film’s writers, David Wain and Michael Showalter, for a miniseries that follows up with the WHAS characters. The original film, which is set at a summer camp in 1981, featured a number of actors who have since become big movie stars, including Elizabeth Banks, Bradley Cooper

, and Amy Poehler.

In the miniseries, the original actors will reprise their roles, and in the first teaser, the cast flashes across the screen one name at a time. It’s the WHAS team’s way of saying “yeah, you bet we convinced all of the actors from the film to reunite.”
