The trend of YouTube stars with their own book deals continues unabated. Tanya Burr, a fashion, style, and makeup expert who has 2.7 million subscribers on her personal channel, will tell her personal story in Love, Tanya, which recently secured a January 29th release date.
According to the UK’s Daily Mail, Love, Tanya will be “full of beauty, fashion, baking, love, friendship, the world of YouTube and just life in general.” The 25-year-old Brit will share her life story with readers in hopes of making them feel “confident and happy.” Burr first announced the book in a vlog she released back in November 2014.
Burr’s announcement came two weeks before her fellow British YouTuber (and frequent collaborator) Zoe Sugg (AKA Zoella) released her first book, Girl Online. Sugg’s debut novel initially sold well, but it soon became mired in controversy when publisher Penguin confirmed suspicions that Sugg had turned to a ghostwriter to pen the book for her. Ahead of Love, Tanya‘s release, Burr is looking avoid any similar confusion. She has admitted that Penguin–which is also publishing her book–hired a ghostwriter to help compose it.
It probably doesn’t matter too much who wrote Love, Tanya, because Burr is a very popular personality, and her adoring fans will likely be eager to pick up a compendium of her advice and personal stories. In advance of its release, the book can be pre-ordered from Amazon, where it retails for £10.99 (which translates to approximately $16.64 USD). We’ll keep an eye on Love, Tanya to see how high it climbs up the Amazon charts when it releases for real on the 29th.
