A notable Jukin Media exec is moving on. Andrew Barrett, who served as the viral video-focused media company’s Director of Marketing, has become Cinedigm‘s Director of Digital Marketing and Strategy.
Barrett helped grow Jukin into a trusted source for user-generated content; the company licenses out its library of more than 13,000 video clips to dozens of media partners. Barrett also assisted the development of Jukin’s multi-channel network, whose partners include FailArmy, Logan Paul, and BatDad. “My time at Jukin afforded me the experience and relationships to build brands in the online video space,” said Barrett in a release, “and I’m excited to be able to take the expertise gained with short-form UGC and apply it to Cinedigm’s more ambitious original, long form content.”
At Cinedigm, which distributes its own library of films and TV shows to movie theaters and digital outlets, Barrett will be responsible for paid digital advertising and social campaigns. “Andrew’s deep understanding and experiences with all facets of digital marketing including social, mobile, web, experiential, viral and media makes him ideally suited to help guide Cinedigm’s digital future,” said Erick Opeka, Cinedigm’s EVP of Digital Networks.
Before joining Jukin, Barrett worked as Tom Cruise‘s social strategist.
