Description: #hotmessmoves is a web series about a pair of women who are described by their own creators as “totally relatable…in the worst way.” Thanks to their unending selfishness and self-centered attitudes, the characters played by Ashley Skidmore and Lyle Friedman manage to ruin everything from Game of Thrones to foreplay to pooping. Each #hotmessmoves episode is marked by its own titular hashtag, and while none of the installments last very long, they are not short on laughs. The series’ channel, aided by guest appearances from Hannah Hart and Grace Helbig, has managed to rack up more than 1.5 million views in its first year. With their Indiegogo campaign, Skidmore and Friedman hope to fund a third round of sketches to add to their channel.

Creator Bio: Skidmore and Friedman are also writers for Youngeran upcoming TV sitcom. In addition to their videos on their own channel, they have also collaborated the The Brothers RiedellYouTube Nation, and several other prominent channels.

Best Perk: The #hotmessmoves perks include complementary nights out and hangover mugs, but for a more introspective choice, $100 donors can get a free therapy session from Friedman. “She’s completely uncertified and untrained to do this,” explains the Indiegogo page, “Choose this perk.”

Why You Should Fund It: #hotmessmoves made a strong debut in the past year, going from zero YouTube subscribers to 20,000. Skidmore and Friedman have earned ringing endorsements from some of YouTube’s most popular personalities, and after watching some of their videos, it is not hard to see why. #hotmessmoves is snappy, fearless, and consistently entertaining, and its leading ladies deserve the funds they need for their videos. If this campaign meets its goal, it will add 30 new episodes to the #hotmessmoves canon. That seems like a good start.
