Thrillist Media Group‘s network of digital media properties is less than a decade old, but in terms of social media, it is a senior citizen. In the nine years since Thrillist co-founder Adam Rich sent his company’s first email blast, the industry has undergone a substantial evolution. At Social Media Week Los Angeles, Rich will discuss the ways his company has adapted to meet the changing landscape.
Rich’s presentation will take the form of a conversation between him and Social Media Week founder Toby Daniels. Rich will discuss the ways in which Thrillist has gone from an email newsletter to a thriving company that also encompasses the tech publication Supercompressor and the fashion curation service JackThreads. Thrillist has now grown into a nine-digit property, so aspiring entrepreneurs would be wise to heed Rich’s story.
The “Content, Community, & Commerce” event begins Tuesday, September 23rd at 11:30 AM at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica.
