Description: The Your Town Show is a comedy/sketch travel web series promising to give viewers a candid, up-close look at small-town America. The creator, Amber Tozer, will travel to various small towns around the US, interviewing the citizens, collecting pictures and memories, and gathering as much information about the location as possible. Then, she’ll write up a sketch show specifically for and about the town, casting locals in the roles. Finally, she’ll throw each town a big show once production has wrapped, so they can all see themselves, friends, or family on the big screen. Tozer will also be posting daily video blogs and updates as she progresses through each town’s production.

Creator Bio: Tozer, a Los Angeles-based comedian, actress, and writer, isn’t new to the web series scene. She previously partnered with Mark Mathias Sayre for the #nitTWITS series, which features side-splitting sketches about everyday annoyances inspired from the two creators’ own tweets. Last year, she reportedly sold her animation show The Tozer Show to Fox’s late night animation channel ADHD, though it hasn’t yet been confirmed or run.

Best Perk: While you could give a minimum of $10, the Your Town Show Indiegogo campaign is totally worth the $25 reward, where you not only get access to the “donors only” video blog, but also a private donor dance video. Everyone loves dancing, right? Tozer also promises the video “won’t be perverted.”

Why You Should Fund It: Tons of travel series exist on YouTube and other platforms, but it’s rare that any of them give all the face-time to the people who actually live in the destinations. If you’d like to see a series that truly focuses on what makes each location and its people unique, this is the show you must invest in. Additionally, Tozer is one of those creators who’s genuinely funny and talented, but hidden among bigger names. Funding her series would bring her more attention that she deserves.
