At 5 Million Subs, FailArmy Comes To The Skies Through Virgin America

One of YouTube’s most expansive collections of UGC clips has reached five million subscribers, and it is celebrating by rising 35,000 above the ground. FailArmy, which offers regular compilations of viral video “fails”, will come to airplanes through a deal with Virgin America and Virgin Australia.

FailArmy, which is owned and operated by Jukin Media, has recently become a hot commodity. Dick Clark Productions is shopping a TV format based on the channel to international TV markets, while Maker Studios has struck a deal with Jukin that will utilize FailArmy clips. The latest announcement comes right as FailArmy hits five million subscribers, a milestone it has celebrated through a special compilation video featuring some of the channel’s choicest fails.

FailArmy is not the first YouTube channel to come to Virgin Airlines. When not cooking up the best in-flight safety videos in the business, Richard Branson’s airliner has sourced content from a number of top YouTube creators, including Felicia Day and Hannah Hart. For customers on Virgin’s American and Australian flights, the latest partnership has turned fails into a win.
