With less than two months to go until the season two debut of Orange Is The New Black, Netflix has released a trailer reintroducing viewers to Piper Chapman and her fellow inmates.
When the first still shots of season two were revealed back in March, we learned that Orange Is The New Black will pick up right where it left off. The new trailer gives us further hints about how season one’s cliffhanger will be resolved, while also introducing viewers to a tougher, edgier, and more cynical protagonist than the Piper who led season one. We also get our first look at Vee, a menacing new inmate played by Lorraine Toussaint.
Orange Is The New Black became one of Netflix’s most popular series when its first season debuted last July. As with House of Cards, its second season has the potential to draw a huge amount of traffic, and Netflix will now be better equipped to handle this crowd thanks to its deal with Comcast. Orange Is The New Black‘s June 6th return should go out without a hitch, but if the trailer is any indication, it will be a percussive, fast-paced ride.
