Kid President is coming to TV. 10 year old Robby Novak, who has entertained YouTube audiences with his adorable pep talks, will star in Kid President: Declaration of Awesome, an upcoming series on the Hub Network.
Declaration of Awesome will debut over the summer and will feature Novak as he explores various themes. In each episode, he will use the same combination of interviews, monologues, and celebrity cameos that has made his web series such a big hit.
The series will be the first TV production from Rainn Wilson‘s SoulPancake, which also hosts the Kid President videos on YouTube. “Kid President is all about getting kids and grown-ups to work together,” said Wilson. “This show is an amazing blend of humor and heart, and The Hub Network is the perfect place for us to continue our mission to give the world a reason to dance.”
Kid President’s YouTube videos have scored tens of millions of views, with his most popular installment, titled “A Pep Talk from Kid President to You“, scoring more than 30 million views to date. Along the way, Novak has met several celebrities, including actual President Barack Obama. Most recently, Novak returned to his dais to announce Declaration of Awesome, explaining that “we’re going to TV because we want to take our message further, taking more people to the awesomeness.”
The Hub Network is a young-skewing channel that replaced Discovery Kids back in 2010. It reaches 72.2 American households, so the rest of the country is about to find out what YouTube viewers already know: Kid President is the cutest.
