YouTube Super Group Our2ndLife To Help Conan With MTV Movie Awards

First there were a couple of Vine stars on the Red Carpet of the Academy Awards. Now there’s going to be a sextet of YouTubers promoting the MTV Movie Awards.

Conan O’Brien is set to host the what he calls “MTV’s second-most prestigious awards show” on Sunday, April 13 at 9PM ET from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles and YouTube comedy group Our2ndLife will help him spread the word. The collaboration channel that’s part of the Fullscreen network and comprised of Connor Franta, Ricky Dillon, J.C. Caylen, Trevor Moran, Sam Pottorff, and Kian Lawley will release Nominee Rundown, a series of shorts set to screen on multiple mediums and devices and debut after MTV announces the nominations for the awards on Thursday, March 6. Variety notes

the segments will be distributed through Our2ndLife’s social channels MTV’s website, mobile site, and mobile applications, and MTV’s AMTV cable television program.

Franta, Dillon, Caylen, Moran, Pottorff, and Lawley will also have a presence on the Red Carpet of the MTV Movie Awards as “social correspondents” and will be incorporated into the telecast in some as of yet undecided capacity.
