Broad City, the web-series turned soon-to-be cable television show starring UCBers Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, just made public the month of it’s TV premiere (if the titles of GIFedout Tumblr posts featuring guys with gym memberships and Splitsider are to be believed). January 2014 is when fans of the Amy Poehler-produced program will be able to catch the first of its 10-episode season on Comedy Central. It’s a premiere that’s been a long-time in the making.
Way back in November 2011, Poehler, Jacobson, and Glazer were all set to transition Broad City from the web to FX, but almost a year later in October 2012, the trio received a pilot order for the program from Comedy Central. Then, in May 2013, the good news broke that the network had ordered a full 10 episodes.
