Jay Mohr Hosts A Game Show For Manly Dudes On Hulu

You may not have heard the name Jay Mohr in a while, but the former SNL cast member is still a pretty funny dude and has recently taken his comedic chops to Hulu. Mohr is the host of Money Where Your Mouth Is, a new game show catered to guys who just want to answer questions about bro stuff.

Money Where Your Mouth Is makes it very clear who the intended audience is. Each episode features three male friends, who must stand behind podiums and answer questions about sports, movies, and TV. Later, to switch things up, the men must show off “man-skills”, such as their ability to craft a Heisman trophy out of clay. To wrap things up, the two finalists have a debate about a sports or pop culture subject, with the victor gaining bragging rights over all his friends.

Mohr is the glue that holds this masculine spectacle together. He constantly

cracks jokes at the contestants’ expenses and keeps the mood light. “My new show is a way for guys to take all that pent-up ‘man knowledge’ and use it to compete with their friends to win their favorite stuff,” he said. “In the end it’s all about guys protecting their manhood and having bragging rights over their buddies.”

Believe Entertainment Group is producing the show along with Mohr and his manager Barry Katz. Ten episodes are planned, with a new one arriving each Monday.

Many of Hulu’s originals haven’t gone over well with the general public, but Money Where Your Mouth Is seems like a smart addition. It’s unpretentious, it knows its audience, and it has a fair number of solid laughs. If you have a Y-chromosome and you’re proud of it, you’ll find Mohr’s bro-fest to be right up your alley.
