It’s a very big weekend for live online video events.
First, there was the Doctor Who Live 50th Anniversary Pre-Show on Saturday, November 23 emceed by Veronica Belmont and streamed from YouTube Space LA. Then, an incredibly large audience from around the globe witnessed the epic, seven-hour, live streamed extravaganza that was One Direction’s 1D Day, featuring Harry, Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn. And now, on Sunday, November 24, straight from outside the Nokia Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, there’s the American Music Awards Red Carpet Show, hosted by Lance Bass, Rosie Pierri, Jordin Sparks, and Jenna Ushkowitz.
The pre-show kicks off at 5PM ET and will run right up until the start of ABC’s 8PM ET broadcast of the 2013 American Music Awards
(which will feature the likes of Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and more). In addition to the recognizable names mentioned above, online video viewing audiences will be able to catch live performances by YouTube star Kurt Hugo Schneider, rug-cutters Jabbawockeez, the incredibly talented Jesse McCartney and X-Factor alums 5th Harmony, as well as general awards show fashion critiques, celebrity interviews, and smiling, friendly banter between famous faces.Tune in and catch all the action at TheAMAs.com or by way of the surprisingly pleasing player Yahoo video player embed below:
