After an accident left Eve, the artist, unable to play the guitar she switched focus to piano and electronic instrumentation. It’s through this change that she found the creative space to write this concept album, hinging on all of the obstacles she had to overcome to transform her persona and her music to what it is today. Her stylized tones, beats, and imagery strive to transport the listener to each of the core themes expressed in each phase of the three acts of her concept album: Innocence, Temptation, and Love.

IAMEVE’s music now excels in its ability to be transformative and distinct, leaning heavily on visuals and concept. With numerous comparisons to the king of concept art, David Bowie, it’s fitting that Eve’s journey in The Everything Nothing begins in a quest for her soul mate, Detective Starman. The story then concludes with the final song in the concept Stardust Apocalypse. The video is, of course, reminiscent of a 1950s detective thriller complete with a femme fatale lounge singer, only this time she’s singing along to synths instead of a jazzy piano.
