Pet Collective & Cheezburger’s ‘Operation Aww’ Is Match Made In Heaven

In the future, will all cute and funny animal videos in the world will be consolidated under one umbrella, with a single source feeding us adorable cats and exuberant dogs as a way of cheering up our dystopian lives? Perhaps that’s a little far-fetched, bleak, and unnecessarily pessimistic (sorry about that), but two of the Internet’s best sources of mood-enhancing animal content have now teamed up. The Pet Collective has met Cheezburger for Operation AWW, which will blast animal lovers with an expanded arsenal of cuteness.

The partnership will result in a massive increase in The Pet Collective’s output, aided by support and exposure from the popular home of LOLcats. Operation AWW will include four new Pet Collective videos each day. To translate, that means 28 a week and 168 throughout the six week duration of the partnership. That’s almost an overabundance of cuteness; given the positive feels generated by just one tiny kitty, Pet Collective viewers need to be careful or they run the risk of an adorable overdose.

“This is a win-win for pet lovers, The Pet Collective and Cheezburger,” said Tom Maynard, Channel Head of The Pet Collective. “More people will get to see more cuteness more often – and for both companies, we get the added benefit of tremendous additional exposure.” He’s not kidding–since the launch of the Operation, The Pet Collective’s YouTube views have spiked by more than 50%.

Maynard and his crew envision the alliance between The Pet Collective and Cheezburger to continue beyond Operation AWW. This could be the beginning of a beautiful (and very precious) friendship.
