YouTube Lets Creators “Share The Love” With Cross-Promotion Feature

The same day that FanBridge unveiled a new tool meant to foster collaborations between like-minded creators, YouTube has released a similar tool. The site now allows its users to feature playlists from other channels on their own, thus heightening the sense of community among YouTubers.

Creators can now pat each other on the back by using the new playlists, which encourage the cross-pollination that has become so popular on YouTube. Piggybacking off of YouTube’s focus of subscribers, the playlists also act as an easy way to show off new releases to a horde of potential fans–even those who have never clicked on your channel in their life.

Networks can also use the feature to create a list of relevant channels. For instance, The CW’s YouTube home now serves as a portal to each show’s individual channel.

The playlists could easily be combined with FanBridge’s new Channel Pages by using the third-party service to find like-minded creators and then agreeing to trade playlists. Swap away!
